In the craziness of everyday life, we often don’t consider to seek God’s will in difficult situations.
We forget to stop and ask God what he is trying to teach us, and instead try to solve problems for ourselves.
God has a plan for each and every single one of our lives and prepares us for his plan through every moment of everyday.
No matter what you are going through, remember these 3 things to center your heart in his direction.
1. You are where you are supposed to be
I know what you’re thinking…. Easier to say than to believe right?
However, it is very much true.
God has placed you in this season for a reason.
We only hinder ourselves further when we try to run from our current situations.
With whatever you go through in life, ask God to show you what you are supposed to be learning in the situation.
Every circumstance is a stepping to stone to get to where he wants us to be.
2. Work to please to please God, not people
It can be easy to get caught up in being concerned about the way others view us.
I find myself doing this all the time.
Whether you’re trying to get a promotion at work, impress a new friend or “friend”, win a certain award, or whatever the case may be:
Stop and ask yourself if you desire these things in order to look better in the eyes of others?
If so, its okay. God isn’t mad at you. It’s just time to adjust your way of thinking.
Always remember that whatever is done unto the glory of God cannot fail…it just can’t.
3. Don’t prepare for your plans, prepare for His
Have you ever found yourself stressing about something that didn’t go as you had planned?
I think we can all raise our hands on that one.
It’s easy to get caught up in what we think is best for ourselves.
We tend to forget to ask God if what we want is what He wants for us.
Thankfully, our God, being God that he is, saves me from many unwanted circumstances that I can’t even begin to imagine.
With that being said, I also came to the realization that I can’t just kick my feet up and expect God to do all the work for me.
For example, when looking I was looking for a job, didn’t just ask God to send me a job and not apply or prepare for one.
I took action and did my part,
When this is done, you will receive what he has planned for you.
Remember in the midst of all the craziness in your life to stop and ask God to show you his plan for you, and then plan accordingly.
If we do our part, God will surely do his.
