10 Friendsgiving Ideas For The Best Party Ever

Friendsgiving is a holiday where you get to celebrate Thanksgiving with your closet friends.

I love Friendsgiving because it’s not often that I have the opportunity to bring all of my friends together at one time to spend time together.

If you are looking for some fun (and cheap) Friendsgiving ideas for your party this year, this post will give you some of the best ideas for a Friendsgiving you won’t forget!

This post may contain affiliate links. This means I will earn a commission if you purchase through my link, at no extra cost to you. Please read the full disclosure here.

easy Friendsgiving ideas

1. Everyone brings a dish

Preparing a big dinner for a large number of people is not an easy task. You can make things so much easier and fun by having a potluck style Friendsgiving!

You can have all of your guests bring their signature/favorite dish to share with everyone. It’s always fun to try new recipes and get different food ideas to use later on!

2. Send out real invitations

If you are going all out for Friendsgiving this year, sending out invitations is a must! You can create your own on Canva, or buy some fun ones from Amazon!

There’s just something about sending out invitations that makes everything feel official and sophisticated.

3. Plan fun games

You can never go wrong with party games at any type of social gathering…and Friendsgiving is no exception!

Here are few of my personal favorite and popular Friendsgiving game ideas that your friends will love.

4. Put up decorations

One thing you can’t forget about your Friendsgiving dinner is the decorations! Decorations set the mood and vibe for the entire event!

Don’t worry, you don’t have to break the bank for some cute Friendsgiving decorations. Here are some cheap ideas from Amazon that are amazing!

5. Decorate the table

You can’t forget to decorate the table after hanging up all of your other decorations. Decorating your table will also help your table STAY CLEAN.

With so many spoons, forks, and platters being passed around everywhere, there’s no doubt that there may be a spill (or two).

6. Use cute disposable plates/silverware

The last thing you will want to worry about after dinner is doing the dishes….because trust me there will be TONS. However, boring ole’ paper plates and plastic silver just won’t cut it.

Here are some cute, but plastic dish ware ideas that you can use for your Friendsgiving dinner!

7. Make a dessert together

After dinner is over and everyone is stuffed, one fun thing you can do as a group is make dessert together!

Making desserts is the perfect bonding activity that everyone will love! Here are some of the best Thanksgiving dessert ideas that you can make as a group that are delicious!

8. Find fun movies to watch

Watching movies together is a great pass time at your Friendsgiving dinner.

I don’t know what is, but as soon as Thanksgiving hits, I am READY to watch my favorite Christmas movies.

If the Christmas bug hasn’t gotten to you yet, watching a favorite scary movie, rom-com, or even chick flick will do the trick.

9. Make a Thanksgiving snack board

While everyone is arriving and waiting for the food to be set up, you can have a Thanksgiving snack board for your guests while they are waiting.

This snack board will be a variety appetizer platter for your friends to snack on to keep them busy!

10, Recipe cards

Having recipe cards for your friends to write their favorite recipes of the dinner on is such a neat idea!

Another thing you can do is have all your friends fill out a few of the cards with the recipe they brought.  This way anyone who wants it can grab it from the table with ease.
