Clever Organization Hacks For Your Kitchen
1. Divide your kitchen into zones
Dividing your kitchen into zones will help make your kitchen so much more functional and improve the overall flow of your space! Here are some common kitchen zones that will work for most kitchens.
- Cooking Your cooking zone will primarily consist of everything (pots, pans, utensils, etc) you frequently grab to cook with on a regular basis. The cooking zone should be located near your oven/stove.
Organizers you may like:
- Cleaning The cleaning zone in your kitchen will be the home for all of your cleaning supplies. The most common place for this zone is underneath the kitchen sink since most of your cleaning will be happening in this area.
Organizers you may like:
- Dishes If possible, place your dishes as close to your sink/dishwasher as you can get them. This will make the process of unloading the dishwasher so much easier. It may seem small, but I swear it makes all the difference!
Pro tip: If you don’t have cabinets over the sink, store your dishes in the cabinets directly behind your sink area!
- Storage Your storage zone is the perfect place to store your meal prep/leftover containers, bowls, and all other things that you use to store food for later or for travel.

2. Easy ways to organize your spices
If you are looking for a new effective and functional way to organize the spices in your kitchen check out these amazing ideas!
Idea #1 | Lazy susans
Lazy susans are great to use to organize your spices because you can use more than one to categorize your spices!
For example, you can use one lazy susan to hold your everyday spices and another for spices you don’t use as often. This will help you find what you need faster without having to hunt the spice you need down!
Idea #2 | Spice drawer
Organizing your spices in a drawer makes your spices so much easier to see and grab when you are cooking! You can organize them in alphabetical order and make your drawer super aesthetic by transferring your spices in glass-labeled jars.
3. Separate your Tupperware lids
Keeping your lids on your Tupperware takes up much-needed space in your cabinet and/or drawers in your kitchen. I know how hard it is to keep track of Tupperware lids, but don’t worry there’s a solution.
A tupperware lid organizer! Using a Tupperware lid organizer in your cabinet will help you keep your lids nice and tidy in one space so they don’t get lost.
Are your drawers too shallow for a Tupperware lid organizer? Use a drawer divider instead to keep them separate!
4. Use a pot and pan rack
Pots and pans are typically the first things to get disorganized in our kitchens because we use them every day. You can say goodbye to falling stacks of pots and pans with this pot and pan rack that will fit right under your kitchen cabinet!
5. Put pot and pan lids on cabinet door
On the subject of pots and pans, how ANNOYING is keeping pot and pan lids organized?! One of the easiest ways you can organize your lids without taking up any space is by keeping them on the back of your cabinet door!
6. Create an essentials station
A kitchen essentials station is where you can keep all of your most reached for items. There are endless ways you can make this station your own. Here are a few examples:
Cooking essentials station: A cooking essentials station is used to hold your cooking essentials such as your most-used utensils, salt & pepper shakers, and oil & vinegar dispensers

7. Organize your appliances by type
Kitchen appliances are one of those things that just go where they fit without any thought. But have you ever thought about organizing your appliances by type? Let me explain:
Mix/blend: Organize your blenders, mixers, juicers, food processors, etc together in a cabinet/closet.
Heat: This category will include your toaster, toaster oven, waffle maker, etc.
Cook: The cooking is perfect for your air fryer, crockpot, indoor grill, etc.
Depending on the size of your kitchen, you can organize these areas in different locations around your kitchen based on where you use them. Or you can simply organize them all in one area and keep them in their respective groups.
8. Utilize your vertical storage
I’m a pretty short gal so using vertical space to help maximize storage space sort of went to the back burner of my mind. But let me tell you… it’s seriously game-changing. So when it comes to utilizing and maximizing your vertical storage space the main area that comes to mind is cabinets.
First off, if you have a top row of cabinets above your main cabinets be sure to use that space to store things that you rarely reach for.
Secondly, the inside of cabinets may or may not have a shelf divider. But did you know you can add your own? Yup. These removable shelf dividers work AMAZING for dividing your cabinet space.
