Summer is right around the corner!!! If you slacked off on your winter goals (like me), not all hope is lost! Summer is the perfect time to set new goals for yourself or even revisit your old goals to see where you are. I love goal setting because it pushes me to become better than I was yesterday, and keeps me aligned with my values. Here are 15 examples of summer goals to set to inspire you this season!

Do a monthly challenge

Monthly challenges are a great way to stay on track with a specific goal that you are trying to reach. Here are some examples that you can try:

30 day savings challenge

30 day social media detox

WHOLE30 Challenge

Reconnect with an old friend

Do you have any friends that you haven’t spoken to or seen in a while? Invite them out to lunch one day for girls day! It can be so easy to get caught up in the business of everyday life,  and we can forget to show our love to those closest to us.

Cook more during the week

I have recently found a new passion for cooking. A year ago, you wouldn’t catch me stepping foot into the kitchen to make a full meal. Cooking your own meals is so much healthier than eating out, and can save you so much money each month!

Spend more time in God’s word

Every morning before you start your day, spend some time reading your daily devotional and diving into your bible. I love using the YouVersion app for weekly bible study lessons. They will help you stay on track with your reading and overall help you to grow your relationship with Christ.

Organize your life

The thought of getting your life together may seem scary….or even impossible. But I promise you, with one little step at a time, you can get it all together girl!

Set new savings goals

Summer is the perfect time to set some new savings goals for yourself. You can increase the amount you are saving each month, or even make some new savings goals for a vacation or event that is coming up.

Change up your daily habits

Our daily habits form the overall quality of our day to day life. In the grand scheme of things, it really is the small things that we do that make the biggest difference in the way that we live.

Implement a morning routine

Morning routines can really set the tone for the rest of your day. Our bodies love and thrive off of routines. That is why it is so important that you at least have a few morning rituals that you do each and every day.

Read one book per month

To me, reading is like food for the mind and soul. If you can’t seem to find the time during the day to read, try carving out the last 30 minutes of your night before you go to bed for your reading time.

Find new ways to reconnect with yourself

I cannot express how important reconnecting with yourself on a regular basis is. It can be so easy to lose sight of your values and what is important you within the craziness of everyday life.

Some ways I like to reconnect with myself are journaling, goal setting, reading my bible, and setting aside some alone time.

Actually plan out your meals

Okay, seriously planning out your meals will truly change your life if you don’t already. You don’t have to do a whole month of meal planning at a time. All you need is a week or two! Seriously – LIFE. CHANGING.

I like to plan out my meals usually on Saturday, then I will go to the grocery store early Sunday morning to get everything I need.

Create and stick to a skincare routine

Skincare is something that can get overlooked and put on the back burner at times. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself for a lengthy routine every night. All you really need is a good cleanser, toner, and moisturizer…and maybe an exfoliant or your favorite serum.

Less is more when it comes to skincare. It doesn’t take an abundance of expensive products for an effective skincare routine. Find some staple products that work well with your skin and you will be good to go!

Take one day each week for self care

Self care is another one of those things that can get thrown on the back burner despite its importance. Self care can be as simple as going on a walk, or as extravagant as taking a whole spa day to yourself.

Get at least 7 hours of sleep

The amount of sleep you get each night can really affect your overall health and your day to day mood. Try getting at least 7 hours of sleep each night to set yourself up for success everyday.

Increase your time spend working out

If you already work out regularly, try increasing the amount of days that you work out each week or even adding an extra 10-20 minutes of your current workout regimen.
