Use all matching hangers

Using all matching hangers in your closet can bring a sense of peace to the space. When you have various types of hangers of different colors and sizes, things can appear chaotic. This can make the space look unorganized and cluttered, and can ruin the feel of the area.

You don’t have to always use the same type of hanger, (unless you love the brand), but using the same color hanger throughout the closet will overall enhance the look of your space.

Organize your clothes by type

For a quick grab and go in morning, organizing your clothes by type will do wonders! If you know that you want to wear a sweater, a certain jacket, or whatever the case may be, you will know exactly where your favorite items are.

This will help eliminate the straining searching and rummaging in the mornings, and overall help relieve the stress of finding something to wear.

Organize your clothes by color

Separating your clothes by color doesn’t really do anything as far organization goes, it is more of an aesthetically pleasing factor that overall makes your closet look better.

I find that organizing my closet by color almost makes me feel like i’m shopping in a boutique

Drawer organizers

If you’re like me and have a bad habit of just throwing your clothes in your drawer when you are in a rush, drawer organizers will be perfect!

All it takes is one day, and then your whole organization system is just completely thrown off and everything is scattered and in the wrong place.

Having drawer organizers will allow you to keep your items neat and tidy and prevent disorganization.

Maximize vertical space

If you have a small closet, maximizing your vertical space is essential to making the most of your closet! You can do this several ways:

  1. Cute storage boxes on top shelf
  2. Adding a shelving unit
  3. Using command hooks

Rolling clothes rack

Clothes racks are a great way to showcase a few of your favorite pieces or even planning out your outfits for the week. They are perfect for a quick grab and go in the morning to reduce your time spent looking for certain items and planning out your outfits.

Shelf dividers

If you’re not careful, your closet shelves can become easily become cluttered of things that don’t have home. Shelf dividers help you to keep your clothing items organized by separating different categories and by keeping items in piles from toppling over.

Mount things inside closet door

Your closet door is the perfect area to store items when you run out of space in your closet. Here are a few ways to use utilize your closet door space:

  1. Handbags
