MY PRODUCTIVE SUMMER MORNING ROUTINE
Wake Up | 6:00 am
During the summer, I will typically wake up around 5 or 6am. Even though it is summer, I try to stay as close to my typical routine as possible.
I have sort of made getting up early an overall lifestyle change for myself and I absolutely love it.
Quiet Time | 6:30 am
I love a good morning quiet time before the hustle and bustle of my day starts. During this time I will spend time journaling, reading a morning devotional, or just simply spend time in mediation and prayer.
If you have pretty busy lifestyle and find yourself struggling to find the time to take at least 30 minutes to yourself everyday, I highly recommend including a quiet time in your summer morning routine!
Morning Detox | 7:00 am
There’s nothing like starting of the day with a good ole’ morning detox drink. Morning detox drinks are a great way to give a good kickstart to your digestive system and metabolism for the day.
I will typically drink apple cider vinegar drink for my morning detox. Here is the recipe if you want to try it out:
- 8 oz water
- 2 tbsp ACV
- 1-2 tbsp honey
- A dash of cinnamon (optional)
Get Up And Moving 7:30 am
I like to do my workouts in the morning because by the end of the day I will most likely be too tired to do anything (and I will be tempted so make excuses for myself haha).
I am the type of person who gets bored pretty easily with workouts so I make that everyday is different when it comes to my routine and I like to keep things interesting!
Working out in the morning is also better for you because it helps get you blood flowing and gives your metabolism a kickstart.
Breakfast Time | 8:30 am
Breakfast is my all time favorite meal of the day. I like have something quick and easy that will still keep me full until lunch. Here are a few things that I find myself reaching for:
- Avocado Toast
- Turkey & Egg Scramble
- Yogurt & Granola
- Oatmeal & Fruit
There was a time when I thought eating breakfast wasn’t that big of a deal, and I made no effort at all to put it into my routine.
Girl, let me tell you…if you aren’t a breakfast person, I promise you that eating breakfast in the morning makes a huge difference in your energy throughout the day! You don’t have to do anything fancy. You can grab some fruit or even a healthy granola/energy bar and call it good!
