Self care is something that is often overlooked, yet it is so important for our day to day lives! The sooner you can get in the habit of spending time taking care of your self, the better girlfriend. And what better way than to do a self care challenge!
Your self care routine is something that you can fall back on in times of stress, anxiety, and loneliness. I love a good self care routine because I am the one who gets to pick everything that’s in it and it is completely catered to my needs.
Here are a few easy ways to practice self care for your 7 day self care challenge.
7 Day Self Care Challenge
Monday: Nourish Your Body
Start your week off right with good eating habits by planning and preparing healthy meals. Binge eating and boredom eating often happen when we just simply don’t know what to eat.
To avoid those unwanted junk food spirals, set an eating plan for the week to be sure you are nourishing your body with everything it needs day to day. By planning your meals out beforehand for the week, you will be more likely to eat healthier throughout the week!

Tuesday: Get to Know Yourself
Throughout the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it can be easy to lose sight of what is important to you and what truly makes you happy. Take some time to engage in some self reflection today and grab your favorite journal and get to writing!
It doesn’t have to be anything structured; you can simply just write what is on your heart.

Wednesday: Find Your Perfect Routine
I can go on and on about how much I love routines! Like seriously, they are the absolute BEST thing that has ever happened to me.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or just feel like you just need a little more structure in your life, try setting some daily routines.
Morning routines, night routines, and just overall having a set day to day routine has seriously gotten me through so many stressful days.

Thursday: Get Your Body Moving
Its time to get up and moving girl! Take a walk or run, ride your bike, or have a yoga session. It only takes a little bit of movement to make our bodies happy.
You don’t even need to hit the gym! (unless you want to of course). When you get up and get your blood moving, it helps relieve any and stress and anxiety you may have and will overall give you a MAJOR mood boost!!
Friday: Connect With Others
As an introvert, I am all for some good quality alone time. But God made us to be social beings and it is always good connect with family and friends.
Go grab some coffee with your bestie or head to your parents house for dinner to spend time with them! If you aren’t feeling a face to face get together, it is perfectly fine. Just to hop on on Facetime or zoom with your loved ones and spend time with them that way!

Saturday: Do Something You Love
We don’t always have the time to spend time doing what we love. Whether it’s our favorite hobby, or even just something small that brings us happiness, it is important that you take time doing those things.
Take some time today to whatever it is that YOU love to do!
Sunday: Pamper Yourself
Today is your day girlfriend, and it’s time to treat yourself! Head to the nail salon, go get your hair done, cook your favorite meal, or even have a simple spa day/self care day at home!
Whatever makes you feel good – DO IT. We all need a relaxing day to ourselves every once and while, and there is 1000% nothing wrong with it.

Practicing self care is something that I love to do on a regular basis, but I always find myself forgetting. I love challenges because they truly help me to stay on track and help me to implement even the smallest changes to my day to day routine.
